Trails Before Dawn

After a near record-breaking month of rain, this trail was alive and green. The post-storm aromas filled the air as we ran through the long wet grass.  We had numerous creek crossings the first 2 miles.  At one point, the trail became a creek with water streaming down the trail.  We ran into the Kirkham Trail at exactly 4 miles.  I don't usually like to run on pavement, but this two mile section down Right Fork Hobble Creek was absolutely beautiful! Another great run up Hobble Creek Canyon (Right Fork).  Next up: Dry Creek to Left Fork Hobble Creek.

Due to mud from an enormous amount of weekend rain, we postponed running Left Fork Days Canyon and instead ran the roller coaster hills of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Beautiful morning Home Stretch - Great run, but we were beat! 1483 ft. total elevation gain.
