Hidden Oak Trail 6.7

It's easy to think that you must travel to see something amazing, and forget about the beauty in your own front yard.  This morning, for the first time, I ran to the top of a mountain I can see from my house.  It was amazing!

The Hidden Oak trail starts just above the Spanish Oak's Reservoir (at the top of the campground).  It is a very steep trail, climbing 2,665 feet in just three miles.  The trail also gets pretty rugged toward the top.

Enjoy a few pics:

The view from the summit was spectacular!

 Looking down on the reservoir

Wild flowers were blooming!

I love this trail!
